Underage Gambling Policy
Dundas Casino is strictly 19+: no one younger may play. Read on for how we check age, what happens when a minor opens an account, and the filters parents can set to keep gambling sites out of children's reach.
1. 19+ only
Adults only. That sign never switches off.
- No one under 19 is allowed to register, deposit or place a bet.
- Using someone else's identity or payment details to get in is not allowed.
- Adult players must never let a young person play through their account.
You may play only when the law in your location allows it. We apply Canadian rules on age verification, identity checks and anti-money laundering, fully and without exception.
2. How we check age
Age is checked before money moves, not after.
- All new players enter their date of birth when they register.
- Before a first deposit is accepted, electronic checks confirm the player's identity and age.
- Where an electronic check is not enough, we request photo identification.
- A geolocation check makes sure you are in a permitted area.
- We repeat checks whenever something does not add up.
Document details are set out in our Anti-Money Laundering Policy.
3. Parental controls and filtering tools
Our checks stop minors at the door. Filters at home stop them reaching the door at all.
- Switch on the built-in parental controls of phones, tablets, computers and gaming consoles.
- Use content filtering software or app store restrictions to block gambling sites and apps.
- Many internet providers and home routers offer filtering at network level.
- Require a password or PIN for every purchase and every app download.
Talk openly with young people about gambling. Clear facts work better than silence.
4. If a minor is found
Lights out, immediately.
- The account is suspended the moment we suspect a player is under 19.
- If underage play is confirmed, the account is shut down permanently.
- All winnings are void and are not paid out.
- When we can, deposits are refunded to the same payment option you first deposited with.
- If an adult's details were used, we may also close the account belonging to that adult.
5. Shared devices and protecting minors
A family laptop or tablet can open the door by accident. A few habits keep it locked.
- Never save your password in the browser or let the device remember your login.
- Log out fully when you finish a session.
- Store account details, cards and e-wallet logins where young people cannot reach them.
- Set a PIN, fingerprint scan or face unlock on your device.
- Clear stored data if others use the same device. Our Cookies and Tracking page explains what is saved.
Let us know if you believe, or are certain, that a minor is playing through a Dundas Casino account. Every report we receive is followed up.
